Care & Pressing Instructions

Pressing Instructions

Embroidered & Sublimation Patches

  • Cover patch with teflon or parchment paper
  • Press at 320°F for 20 seconds
  • Use medium to firm pressure

Custom Glitter & Matte Patches

  • Cover patch with parchment paper only
  • Press at 320°F for 20 seconds
  • DO NOT use teflon
  • DO NOT use heat tape

Sequin & Chenille Patches

  • Cover patch with parchment paper
  • DO NOT use teflon
  • Press at 320°F for 20 seconds
  • Turn garment inside out and press the back for an additional 20 seconds

If your patch is not fully adhered, press for an additional 5–10 seconds. Every heat press performs a little differently.

Washing Instructions

To maximize the life of your apparel:

  • Turn garment inside out before washing.
  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
  • Hang dry.
  • Do not iron directly over patches or printed designs. If ironing is necessary, turn the garment inside out or place parchment paper over the design.

Important Information

While our patches are made with premium materials and commercial-grade adhesive, proper application is essential. We recommend using a heat press whenever possible for the strongest bond.

Lexi Lu Creations cannot guarantee results when patches are applied with household irons or when pressing instructions are not followed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a household iron?
Yes, but we strongly recommend a heat press for the best adhesion. Household irons often do not provide consistent heat or pressure.

Can I sew my patch on?
Absolutely! Our patches can be sewn on after heat pressing or used as sew-on patches if preferred.

Can I repress my patch if it starts to lift?
Yes. Cover the patch with parchment paper and repress using the instructions above.

Can patches go in the dryer?
